FC Edmonton Summer Camps
FC Edmonton’s Summer Soccer Camps kick off July 2, 2012. Our goal is to develop each player’s soccer skills in a fun and challenging environment.
Why Our Soccer Camps?
- Opportunity to learn from FC Edmonton coaches who hold UEFA pro coaching certificates (highest level in the world). The FC Edmonton summer camps are instructed under the leadership of first team Head Coach Harry Sinkgraven and first team Assistant Coach Hans Schrijver. All camps will be led by Assistant Coach Jeff Paulus on a daily basis.
- Harry Sinkgraven UEFA Pro Licence
- Hans Schrijver UEFA Pro Licence
- Jeff Paulus National B Licence
- Other Nationl B Licensed coaches (TBD)
- Opportunity to be a part of a professional soccer environment:
- Interaction in every training session between FC Edmonton players, coaches and participating athletes
- Experience what it takes to be a professional athlete
- First team players available for autographs and photos with the campers
- FC Edmonton coaches utilize a Dutch-style of youth development focusing on:
- Lots of fun, small-sided soccer games
- Different ways of scoring goals will give players extra motivation
- Many repetitions, lots of touches on the ball
- Considering similar age and skill levels
- High quality coaching, helping the players recognize the sense of the game
- High coach to player ratio – 1 coach for every 10 players
- Personalized training that will guide players toward their personal goals:
- Control the ball (dribbling, passing, shooting)
- Acting goal oriented with the ball (scoring, prevent scoring)
- Working together (attack and defend together)
- Playing according to basic tasks (in a position, line, team)
- Goalkeeper specific training sessions
